C & I Energy Storage System

VPS01-0500-GE0A

A rice mill in Myanmar previously operated a PV system with two grid-tied inverters. However, due to the region's highly unstable grid, the system's photovoltaic generation efficiency fell below 50%. To compensate for frequent outages, the facility relied on a 500 kVA diesel generator, resulting in high operating costs and poor power reliability. An efficient and stable solar-plus-storage microgrid solution was urgently needed to reduce costs and improve operational stability.

To address the challenges of a weak and unreliable local grid, the rice mill upgraded to VEICHI's 500 kW microgrid hybrid solar-storage system. The complete solution integrates the existing PV combiner boxes, a 723 kWh lithium battery storage unit, an MPPT PV access cabinet (supporting up to 600 kW of PV input, scalable to 720 kW), along with PCS/STS control cabinets and an isolation transformer. The system is also designed to work in tandem with the existing diesel generator set, significantly reducing generator runtime and fuel consumption while ensuring continuous, stable production. With a projected payback period of just 1.5 to 2 years, this solution is ideally suited for commercial and industrial applications in weak-grid regions across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, particularly as a diesel replacement strategy.

The system maximizes solar utilization while slashing diesel consumption and runtime, delivering uninterrupted production and a payback of just 1.5–2 years—an ideal diesel-replacement model for weak-grid C&I sites.
